‘Something like an archive - Exploring memory through zine-making’ is a one day public workshop at Iyatsiba Lab facilitated by visual artist and educator, Scott Eric Williams.
On Tuesday 24 September 2024, the CHR took part in the Boschendal Heritage Day festivities, which involved puppet making workshops with school learners, and a giant puppet parade through Boschendal farm.
The launch of the latest edition of Kronos, ‘God, Grievance and Greed: War in Cabo Delgado, Mozambique’, takes place at the Iyatsiba Lab on Thursday 3 October 2024.
The CHR is delighted to announce that Sound Working Group Convenors, Aidan Erasmus, Valmont Layne and Lee Walters have received a joint Creative Arts Output Award for their outstanding contributions to Research and Innovation at the University of the Western Cape.
In August 2024, a CHR delegation met with leadership and Humanities and Social Sciences colleagues at Sol Plaatje University to discuss future collaborations and joint research initiatives.

The CHR’s Iyatsiba Lab was launched on 30 July 2024 by the Vice-Chancellor of the University of the Western Cape and the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation, Blade Nzimande.
