The CHR Documentary film class was in conversation with film editor and CHR Artist in Residence, Khalid Shamis, and filmdirector Sara DF De Gouvia, about their award winning film The Sounds of Masks. Senior lecturer in the History Department at the University of the Western Cape (UWC), Dr Paolo Israel served as the discussant. The session was chaired by Francois Verster.
Zandi Sherman (Rutgers) makes a point about her paper at the 2020 African Critical Inquiry Programme Workshop. The workshop, Rethinking Resilience, was originally scheduled to take place in Makhanda, South Africa in March.
