The Immense Regression – What is Called Caring? serves as the starting point for the CHR’s 2026 reading group programme, and a series of seminars led by Erich Hörl, who is visiting the centre as Extraordinary Professor. Hörl, who is based at the Leuphana Institute for Advanced Studies (LIAS) at Leuphana University of Lüneburg, is returning for the third year to lead fellows through the Immense Regression. His latest visit builds upon his 2025 seminar and lecture series on ‘The Disruptive Condition and the Care of Philosophy’, and 2024’s workshop with CHR staff and fellows, ‘What is the University for?’.
