We are pleased to announce the publication of New Contrast’s 212th Issue, In Memory of Diana Ferrus and Zoë Wicomb, which includes contributions from Premesh Lalu who holds the UK-SA Bilateral Chair in Culture and Technics at the CHR, and Bongani Kona (Department of Historical Studies, UWC).
This is the second special tribute issue of New Contrast journal dedicated to Zoë Wicomb and Diana Ferrus. The unprecedented gathering of writers in Issue 212 follow an equally striking array in Issue 211. Both issues make literary history – they reveal new insights about Zoë and Diana, and introduce compelling themes – about what we learn from the lives of writers, the last time we see our icons, and how to live in the aftermath of loss. – Gabeba Baderoon.
