In an era where opportunities for arts education were few and far between, CAP offered arts education programmes to mainly communities on the Cape Flats. In the wake of the near collapse of the community arts movement in South Africa after 1994, the CHR’s Factory of the Arts aims to re-kindle the idea of community arts education.
