Ambivalent at Jacana’s Virtual Book Theatre

Ambivalent will be featured at Jacana Media’s Don’t Shut Up virtual book theatre on Sunday, 23 May 2021.

Ambivalent co-editor Patricia Hayes (DSI/NRF SARChI Chair in Visual History and Theory at the CHR) and contributors George Emeka Agbo and Ingrid Masondo will give a virtual tour of selected images and ideas in the book, delving into the ambivalence of seeing in Africa and the implications of writing about seeing. CHR Next Generation Scholar Lwando Scott will moderate the conversation.
