It is with great pleasure that we announce Ukwanda Puppets and Design Arts Collective member, Luyanda Nogodlwane’s, award for Best Puppetry Design at the 59th Fleur du Cap Theatre Awards.
Kim Gurney, Senior Researcher at the CHR, is a contributing author for the first comprehensive publication on the Lubumbashi Biennale, a newly released book that traces relations between the city, its growing art scene and collective practice.
The CHR and Encounters will be hosting a film screening and master class with Brendan Canty on Monday, 21 September 2026, followed by a film screening and panel discussion on Tuesday, 22 September 2026 as part of ENGAGE/REFLECT/CREATE: The CHR-Encounters monthly screening programme.
The CHR and Jazz in the Native Yards will be hosting Andile Yenana for a Solo Showcase on Wednesday 23 September at Iyatsiba Lab.
