            State Capture?

The Dullah Omar Centre for Critical Thought in African Humanities of the Centre for Humanities Research (DST-NRF UWC Flagship) held a public seminar on

Earlier this year we had an important Local Government Election. Now, as we debate how to fund public higher education equitably, this seminar explores the larger context of political decision making- where does sovereignty lay? What are the new configurations of private and public politics, and how do these shape the workings of governance and the state?

            Speakers:
            Mcebisi Ndletyana
Associate Professor, Political Science, University of Johannesburg

            Ivor Chipkin
Professor and Director, Public Affairs Research Institute, University of Witwatersrand
