            In Equity: Experiences in the Arts

            The Factory of the Arts presents a workshop and conversation on, “In Equity: Experiences in the Arts”. The workshop will be led by visiting theatre practitioner, Laine Newman, Centre for Drama, Theatre & Performance Studies  & Sexual Diversity Studies, University of Toronto as part of an ongoing exchange partnership between the CHR and the Jackman Humanities Institute. The workshop will focus on experiences of inequity in theatre and the arts in South Africa and Canada and challenges to achieving equity, in particular, those faced by women, racialized, queer and marginalized groups in our respective artistic communities.
