Alejandro Castillejo-Cuéllar is currently Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Anthropology at the Universidad de los Andes (University of the Andes) in Bogotá, Colombia. He was a research fellow at the Institute of Advanced Study and Humboldt University in Berlin, Columbia University (New York), and at the Center for the Study of Ethno-political Conflict, University of Pennsylvania. At the CHR, Professor Castillejo-Cuéllar gave a seminar titled “After the traces of the body: violence, ethnography and the extra-judicial encounter in Colombia” (11 November 2014).
