Gocini was an artist-in-residence at CAP in the late 1970s and his work was acquired by the CHR in 2009, when the CAP Collection was donated to UWC. The work featured on the CHR exhibition, ‘Uncontained: Opening the Community Arts Project Archive’ (Art.b Gallery, Bellville, and Iziko South African National Gallery, Cape Town, 2012/13), which, in part, sought to address exclusions and omissions from the South African art canon.
