CHR fellow invited to judge at Thola Drama Festival

During April 2018, CHR’s MA Fellow, Zuko Wonderfull Sikhafungana, was invited to be a judge at the Third Annual Thola Drama Festival at the Lwandle Community Hall in Strand. Participating Schools and organisations came from as far afield as Durban.  Other judges included award-winning performers, Khayalethu Antoni and Mbulelo Hohlo. It is very gratifying to see our Fellows take up a meaningful role in arts practice in communities within the broader Western Cape. Sikhafungana defined the judging criteria which focused particularly on performance, writing and directing. Participants were awarded certificates in the following categories: Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Promising, Best Writer, Best Director, Best Production, Best Musical andBest Ensemble.
