Current Fellows: Postdoctoral

I am an Andrew W. Mellon Foundation postdoctoral fellow at the Centre for Humanities Research. My current research looks at gendered violence, street art and performance in India. More broadly, my work exists at the intersections of theatre and performance, gender and feminist theory, critical urban studies, post/de-colonial theory and visual cultures. My PhD, undertaken at the University of Exeter and funded by UK-India Education Research Initiative grant, focused on Indian theatre practices, both contemporary and historical, and their negotiation with the urban spatiality of Delhi. I am currently developing this work for publication as a monograph. Previously, I was awarded Dual Masters in International Performance Research by the University of Warwick and the University of Amsterdam. I am a co-convener of Performance in Public Spaces working group of the International Federation of Theatre Research and a fellow of the International Association of Theatre Critics. I also serve on the PG subcommittee of the Standing Conference of the University Drama Departments, UK
